Ok i am Strictly a CS1000 tech. I am at a remote site that has both BCM400 (SRG) and Nortstar. There are 3 analog lines moving from the norstar to the bcm and we are taking norstar down. I installed a gasm8 card on the bcm400. Amphenol cable is punched to a Patch Panel. Where do i go from here? Curcuit vendor is porting all dids to main office.

Thanks

The card in the BCM needs to be a GATM not GASM, the GASM is for analog stations, not trunks. But with the GATM the lines are two on two off just like in the Norstar.

Money may not buy you happiness, but in MLB it buys you CHAMPIONSHIPS. (27 and counting). MLB,stands for Major League Baseball for you slower Boston Fans!

These are analog stations. For faxes. I do have a gatm installed too. Just not fimiliar with the programing.

Is the BCM 3.7 or 4.0 and higher? 3.7 uses unified manager whereas the 4.0 or higher uses element manager. What programming are you trying to accomplish? you first need to go into telephony resources and tell the KSU what type of module is in the BUS that corresponds.

Its a 3.7..... Customer did not give the the correct info for these fax numbers. They are direct did's to the fax machine itself and will not be effected by the port over. Thanks for your help!
