Switches for Word

Am right in the middle of creating mail merges into Word.
That data is exported form Access in *.RTF and then a pre made office document reads the data file. Boom Shiva it all comes togeather and then prints.
Only thing is they have asked me to add somethihng extra.
In this case they would like the option to put two names on the top of the page
EXAMPLE
Mr Bob Smith
Mr Jim Smith
Only thing is that if the second name does not exist they do not want a space.
The way I was thinking of doing it is to wack all the merge fields on one line and put some kind of switch in.
<<Merge One>> /? <<Merge Two>>
ANy one have any ideas
 
Word will, by default, not put the space in. If you're getting the blank space, go to Tools-Mailmerge-Merge and look for the option to remove spaces when there's no data.
