Hi all,
I recently have done subnetting in our networks and created four separate subnets of 24bit using Extreme 400-24t L3 switch. All the desktops and one server is there in one network connected through stacked dell 3348 switches. I am oberving one strange problem. All the switches in this subnet are working like hubs.
Unicast traffice is broadcasted and sent to every port of the stacked switches sometime . I can observe http,X11,DNS,TCP traffic of all the machines on my machine when I run ethereal on it though this is a switched network. This is happening intermittently.
Any Idea why this is happening?
Please let me know because this is busting the bandwith.
