I have one user that has found 2 of 4 objects/links on a main switchboard that do not respond when clicked.

I can open the same database and all switchboard objects respond properly.

Any ideas how to correct this for the affected user?

I'm going to have them delete and then recreate a desktop shortcut to the database and see if that chases the problem away.

have you checked the references on the one machine that doesn't work?

make sure that every reference checked on the machine that DOES work is also checked on the machine that doesn't work.

Thanks Les,

I'm not sure what you mean by checking all 'references' on both the system that works the the one that doesnt.

The client having the problem has successfully used the database for a year prior to this sudden fault where half of the buttons on the switchboard do not respond.

To check the references (just in case they were modified in some way on the machine that doesn't work):

In Access, press Alt+F11
go to Tools -> References

see what references are checked on the machine that works; make sure all those references are also checked on the machine that doesn't work.

Additionally, the fact that it suddenly stopped working after a long period of working fine might have been a key piece of information to include.
