Switch universe in webi report 1

Hello all,

I have a litle problem here that I cant find an answer for from other sources like the usermanual and the net.

I am working with BO 6.5 and creating reports in webi.

Some in our system has decided to use a developent envirement to create all reports and test those before they are supposed to be moved to the production envirement.

The universes in the development and production envirement are supposed to be exactly identical.

So my question here is:

Do web intelligence have functionality to switch universe in a report like the full client?

If it is possible, woul you be so kind and give me a clue of how to do it?

Sorry! No direct way to change connection in Webi, but some one suggested a work around, try this:
To move Web Intelligence Documents from Development to Production

NOTE : To enable this method to work, you require 2 Universe Domains.

1. Create 2 usergroups in Supervisor e.g.
GROUP_DEV
and
GROUP_LIVE

2. Create a user (e.g. CREATOR) and add to both GROUP_DEV and GROUP_LIVE groups.

3. Create a user (e.g. USER_DEV) and add to GROUP_DEV group only

4. Create a user (e.g. USER_LIVE) and add to GROUP_LIVE group only

5. Create a universe with a connection to Test Database and export to Universe Domain 1 and Group GROUP_DEV

6. Change the connection in the universe to Live Database and export to Universe Domain 2 and Group GROUP_LIVE (Note : Do not change filename or universe name)

7. Create report in WebI using CREATOR.

8. Run report and publish to GROUP_DEV group (e.g. REPORT_DEV)

9. Publish report to GROUP_LIVE group (need to use a different name e.g. REPORT_LIVE)

10. Log on as USER_DEV and you will only see REPORT_DEV (running against Test Database)

11. Log on as USER_LIVE and you will only see REPORT_LIVE (running against Live Database).
