We are experiencing some strange thing with our switches. We have a 1 gig switch that 5 servers run into. This switch connects to a 10/100 HP Procurve 2124 switch. We have 3 of these HP switches that all the network users connect to. About 2 weeks ago, all the activity lights on the switches almost went to solid green, flashing very rapidly, all at the same time and speed. Usually they flash on and off with activity. The network locked up when this happened. Unplugging one of the switches and plugging it back in resolved the issue. Two weeks went by and its doing it again. What is going on? Anybody ever have anything like this happen to them? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Shannan

bcastner,

Any suggestions on how I determine which NIC is causing the problem? I have 75 clients and 5 servers.

Thanks,

Shannan
