switch off the Wifi from my laptop and reconnect it

When out of the office I primarily use the WiFi network connection on the laptop. When I "dock" in the office, my laptop used to automatically switch off the Wifi as the docking station has a hard wire connection. And then it would automatically re-enable the Wifi when I un-docked

This is not working anymore, so when I switch on in the office, I get two network connections, then manually have to switch off the wifi, and manually switch it on if I un-dock

Could it be restored to the way it was?

Proberbly yes.

However you would need to sepcify more info.

Make & Model of devices, operating system etc.

Rough guess it's a profile issue, but would depend on your operating software.
