Hey all!
So we're at the tail end of doing an Opt11-Asterisk switch migration. We were on 3 digit extensions on the Opt11 and moved to 4 digits on the Asterisk switch. During the migration, I CHG'ed the DN's of the extensions moved to "86###" so I didn't have to out the line and the phone could still dial out if need be, no one could it and that was fine with us.
So now, I'm down to the last 5 or so extensions and the won't be moved for a bit and we'd like to just bump every thing over 4 digits now.
I'm trying to figure out how to let the last 5 or so people dial 4 digit extensions and maybe have the Opt11 do a fast busy for 3 digit extensions. I'm thinking I'm looking for a FLEN somewhere but not sure where to look or change it.
I will say that we currently have 1 TIE route between the Opt11 and Asterisk that knows how to handle 4 digits. That route uses DMI to take a 3 digit extension and insert a 1,2, or 4 in front of the 3 digits and sends over the trunk.
Wow, me writing this out is making me think a little more on how to approach this. I guess the final result would be to have the Opt11 allow people to dial 4 digit extensions, know that those last 5 people's 4-digit extensions are local, and to send all other dialed 4-digit extensions over the trunk.
Thanks in advance to everyone!
Louis
