Anyone else having issues with the New Style of Partner Phones? It seems that we have returned at least 5 to 10 in the past 2-3 months? They redesigned the phone layout, as they are not using that "switch hook" component where the switchook arm would block the sensor. Now it is a membrane with connector but it seems as if it is right on the edge and the speakerphone wire is getting in the way. Does anyone have any insight on this??

We,ve had a few of the new style phones with bad hookswithes. We just keep shipping them back for replacements. I don't know if they are going to correct the problem any time soon or not.

Lack of money is the root of all evil.

This is not something new with the new series 2 if that's what you are talking about. They eliminated the optical hookswitch more than two years ago for all except the 34D.

They use an arm that reaches around and pushes a "button" on the membrane keypad just like the other buttons do. Any wonder why it fails? I assume they still use the opto switch in the new series 2 34D's. I guess they understand that they will get hard use since they are likely to be used by receptionists.
