removed carrier c. Now have major packet bus alarms. checked all pins, all look good. Shut down carrier b, alarms go away. power up carrier b with all cards pulled. OK. On inserting the TN577 Packet gateway major Packet bus alarms appear. Any ideas?

Check you TDM Bus cable or terminator and make sure that you are not off any pins.

Happy Holidays to all.

Done that about 10 times already. Test 572 fails with 2003 indicates too many errors on the bus for the maintenance pack to correct AND bus has three leads faulted not open.

The TDM bus terminator card would have been my guess.

Did you accidently put it on upsidedown?

And definately check the pins. Those buggers bend fairly easily, and could just be lying flat under the card now.

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)

right side up, we have checked the pins about 100 times it seems. We got an Avaya tech in about an hour, thanks for all of your help ppl.

did you move the terminator to carrier b? just a thought.

I have no technical solution to your management problem

Try display circuit-packs and make sure there's no translations for any circuit packs in C.

Also, do a change cabinet and make sure C carrier isn't still translated as a port-carrier

Just a thought.....
