Switch Administration (SPM) locks up, never works right

I have an Intuity Audix R4.4 system (large tape variety) with SPM software installed on it for switch administration of a Merlin Legend. Every time I select the "Switch Administration" option from the main menu the switch administration comes up, prompts me to press a key to continue, which I do, shows me the first menu and then locks up completely. After this I am unable to do anything else with the system (although the voice system is still operational and able to answer calls) so I have to reboot the system to regain administrative access. Now, in troubleshooting this problem, I removed the AYC54 RMB card from the system, attempting to find a possible conflict. When the AYC54 board is removed, the switch administration function works fine but when I put the board back in it does the same thing it did before. Does anyone have any idea of why this happens and if there's a good way to fix it? Thank you in advance!

I believe there was a patch to keep that from happening. I don't know if its still available because it was way back when they started using intuity on legends. I think you can get back to the main menu of the untuity by pressing Ctrl Alt \ at the same time. That worked at one time.

Thanks Ken! Don't suppose anyone out there has a copy of the patch in question? I was actually able to replace the AYC54 with another AYC54 and the switch administration began working more regularly. The only problem is that aside from the switch administration not working, the AYC54 functioned perfectly, so I would rather believe that something is turned on in the AYC54 that is conflicting rather than the board being bad.

Try waiting a couple of seconds after selecting the switch administration, before pressing a button again. It seems that \ or ctrl \ will unlock it.
