swflash.ocx cannot be copied

I've had this problem with internet explorer where on certain pages, a setup window pops up saying it can't copy the file swflash.ocx. When I hit cancel, another window comes up asking whether I want to countinue setup without copying the file and that windows would run improperly without it. Can I get any help with this? Its getting annoying having a window pop up every time I check email or something. Thanks alot for any help.
