I'm trying to display a .swf in a SharePoint site, but not through a Web Part (so that I can place it wherever I choose on the site). Rather, I'd like to be able to simply click into "edit content" on the "page content" portion of a new site and then use the HTML editor to embed the .swf file.

Whenever I try and do this, I add the object code, click okay, and nothing happens. I click back into the editor and it has stripped out all my object / embed code. Further, I attempted to use the <iframe> tag to simply point it at another website hosting the file, but it strips out the <iframe> tags too.

Why is it doing this?
