Hi guys :)

I would like to know if a trick exists that would make it possible to have a swf file clickable via <a></a> tags surrounding it.
Thus, I wouldn't have to set the link inside the fla files which is quite a hassle.

Any idea?

Thanks!

A computer always does what you tell it to, but rarely does what you want it to.....

Well, after some extensive search on my side, it looks like there absolutely is no work around :(

draigGoch, all the swfs are different.
The thing is that I've built a CMS that can manage banners. I would have liked to have the CMS capable of adding links to swf files as well.

because i was going to suggest something like this (AS2) within your banner (one that you could reuse if your swfs are all different):

Code:
banner.onRelease = function() {
    getURL("[URL unfurl="true"]http://"+url,[/URL] "_blank");
}

Do not define the variable url within your code, and where you embed your flash movie in your web page, instead of loading it "banner.swf", use "banner.swf?url=

Unfortunately, it's not practical for my project :(

Thanks anyway ;)
