I need a DOS util that works through all subdirs with same command. For example:
sweep ren *.dbx *.ddd
will rename all files in all subdirectories with a dbx extensions to a ddd extension. Or at least it used to. Now with the great big long numerical identifiers win2k is using in its great big long path names, good old workhorses like SWEEP cannot cope and they just give up after the path gets so many characters long - maybe around 60 or 65.

So I am looking for an updated utility like SWEEP that will apply the same command recursively to all subdirectories. We want to get rid of all the old Outlook mailboxes and address books on our users PC's since we have now gone to Lotus Notes and don't want the exposure in case a viurs does get through.

If anyone has any thoughts on how to do this on a drive with really long path names, please please reply!! :) Thank you!
