I have a customer with R6 BCM and he uses the SWCA keys (invoke by hold), when a call is placed on hold it appears on all the SWCA keys. When trying to send a caller to voicemail (F986) as soon as you press F986 it sends the call to a SWCA key, and does not allow a vm transfer.

Try it by turning off invoke by hold. If it works then that is your problem.

Yep!

When Invoke SWCA parking by HOLD is set to YES, any call put on hold will automatically be
parked to SWCA. This includes calls automatically put on hold while invoking F986 to transfer a
call to voicemail, or other features like conference etc. To disable this feature set Invoke SWCA
parking by HOLD to NO.

I had the same issue when the BCM50 first came out.

so if we cant invoke by hold should I have them just Park the call? They like to see the call. I hesitate to say that last sentence after migrating to the IP Office (seeing the call) is apparantly frowned upon.[thumbsup2]

When invoke by hold is off they can press the SWCA key to assign it. You want to allow them to manually assign the SWCA key. So when the call comes in, instead of using hold they would press whatever SWCA key they wanted to assign the call to. We have customers doing it this way so F986 can be used.
