swatch palettes

illustrator 10 has all of a sudden, decided not to let me select
my swatches palettes I have restarted, trashed my preferences &
dropped in a whole new swatch folder and it still does not work
anyone?

The same happend to me with layers window few times. BTW, its the reason why Im still using Illustr.9....and Im happy ...........................Mtj
