I followed the instructions on the thread listed above to swap two digital phones. (I'm not sure that it actually worked yet because the phones are in a different location and no one has tested them yet.) Using Assistant, I viewed the phones and the changes do not appear to have been made. But they show up in the Reg-sbcsu correctly. Can anyone shed any light on why they didn't update when viewing via Assistant?

Thanks
Monica

First guess.... In assistant, go into Configuration Management - Network - System and hit Search.

Look to see that everything comes up Synchronous. If not, your system and database are out of sync.

If that's the case we can go from there...

Thanks. I checked - all says Synchronous. So I double checked the extensions that I swapped earlier today and they still show the wrong PEN.

You could sign them off and back on again.

This morning, the swapped extensions are showing up in Assistant with the correct PENs. If I remember correctly from class the database updates sometime each evening. So I am a happy camper.

Thanks to all for the help and instructions on swapping phones.

Yes, typically 2:00 AM is when all the housekeeping happens.

I was going to tell you to go in expert mode and do EXE-UPDAT, but I have the 9006 version stuck in my head and I know it is a tad different on the 4000.
