Can I plug a T7316e telephone in a jack where there is a T7208 and the line programming will remain? Will the sytem recognize the phone as a T7316e and then I just need to customize the extra buttons? Thank you!

Yes, it should work. You would just have to re-arrange the buttons as needed.

I agree with atascoman, but if Autoset relocate is enabled, once you install the set the set will have a new extension.
If Autoset relocate is off, then just install new set and program buttons as desired. If Autoset relocate is enabled, plug in the 7208 set, and shut off the programming, then replace 7208 with 7316.

Thank you both! I will give it a try when the new phones arrive. Cheers
