Hi y'all--
I have a Merlin Legend R3... the hard drive is making a spastic noise. To me, it sounds as if the bearings are squealing and it's getting ready to lock up. It's the original drive... 10+ years old.
How easy is this to replace? Am I limited on size of hard drive? That is, does it need to be less than 2 gigs, or 1 gig, or whatever?
What steps are necessary to replace it? I can make a completely backup in WinSPM. Do I do that, replace the drive, and then backup? Do I use Norton Ghost and just copy the current drive to a new drive? Is the drive serialized in any way? How tricky is this?
I appreciate any help you have. I looked online for a while for a "guide" of sorts to do this, but couldn't find anything. I was only avaya.com and couldn't find it either, but I'm not the most patient man when it comes ot searching
Also, I have no service contract, or, I'd just call a tech and have it done for me.
So... anxiously awaiting an answer...
