Everyone getting there software assurance lined up for the changes coming? i.e no software assurance no product support?

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

In a way this has always been this way. You could contact Mitel for issues and if that was considered a bug it would be fixed in one of the next releases. Hence you should have SWA on your products.

This has been in effect for quite some time now.

Unless you are saying it will now be "No way no How", not even Pay as you go. (Tech Credits)

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

been inplace in the US, however I think it comes into effect in the UK on 15/12.
Can be treated as an opportunity really with the advanced features in MCD5 and Mitel waiving re-enlistement fees.

the issue here in the UK is that Mitel have never really been strict on keeping up to date with SWA so there are customers out there who have had the system for a good few years and never renewed so now will have a hefty re-enlist fee for backdated SWA.

I think they should offer a 'SWA amnesty' where existing customers can apply for new SWA without any re-enlist fee. This may even lead to new hardware sales as the customers decide they want to upgrade to MCD 5.0

That was my point bob cheese. Mitel are waiving renlist fees from mid decemeber to april (if I remember correctly) this leaves a huge oppurtunity to encourage customer to invest in swa, whilst not incurring the additonial renlist fee - tying this in with mcd5 and the benefits this can bring imo is great.
All customers already in swa - get them to renew - for the increased service they can receive from mitel they can make a 7% saving in fees.

This has been coming for along time ..... I think mitel have got the implementation of the right, huge benefits there for suppliers and maintainers alike

there was an SWA re-enlistment fees waiver between April 1, 2011 and September 1, 2011

I thought we'd missed the boat, but there does look to be another one in place from:
November 1, 2011 until April 30, 2012

I would agree with getting SWA in place, and getting people up to MCD v5

Looks like my wishes gave been answered :) could have a busy few days ahead contacting customers
