Hi all,

I've a problem while connecting to internet from Windows 2000 server. Soon after the connection is obtained, the CPU goes in 100% usage and system slows down. by investigation, I found that a process called svchost.exe has two instances working simultaneously and one of them takes up 99% of CPU usage. Thinking it as virus activity, I tried some antiviruses but no use. Can anybody explain me what is the couse of this malfunction, what the process 'svshost.exe' does and how to get rid of this problem?

thanking you in advance,

Gireesh.
