OK, I have a question regarding server manager (svrmgrl).
On Unix you set which database you are working with by using the ORACLE_SID environment variable.

How do you do this in windows?

How do you specify which DB you are starting up and shutting down etc?

Cheers in advance

exactly the same way -

eg from DOS: set ORACLE_SID=my_sid

or connect via Net8 svrmgrl user/passwd@sid
