SVG AND JSP

Hi,
I am working on svg for the first time. I was researching the web on how to work on it.
I came acrross BATIK which is java api based on svg.
I have to generate diagrams from the database according to the data retrieved.
Using jsp as the front end. I dont know how to generate the graphics using svg. Also how to embed the generated graphics in the jsp page.
Can anybody help?

This is more an HTML question and you should ensure there's a SVG plugin installed on the client browsre.
