Dear Colleagues,

Would anyone assist me with the following issues i am having on an SV9300 with dual CPU

1.The VoIP port for the standby CPU not showing any activity but the Ethernet port does. What could be the problem
2.Cant ping either the VoIP or the Ethernet ports for the standby CPU.
3. Sometimes, when the I power down the system, on startup, the CPU#0, is a bit slow to start up hence the standby CPU becomes the Active CPU
4.I have multi tenants (Hotel and Residence) using 1 ISDN card with 30 channels. I would want a situation whereby the residence would want their calls routed directly to them and also pick the same lines for outgoing without interfering with the Hotel.

For Incoming should I use DID in this scenario?

Thanking you in advance.
Rgds,
Cleophas

Items 1 + 2 seems to be a data switch or port issue.
For item 3, verify both CPU's are the same software level.
Item 4, use DID for incoming and use MB 1216>ext>D001 for the outgoing.

Hi Beledere,

Thanks for the support and feedback
I have checked the CPU versions ,and they are both the same. V2.2.0
If I put CPU#1 to OFF Line, the VoIP has network activity.
If I restart the the whole system, only CPU #0 restarts and CPU #1 does not restart.

Could a firmware upgrade help to solve this issue? The licensing is for V3.
Could this have an impact?

Rgds,
Cleophas

I do not know what bugs v3 may fix, however I always upgrade to the latest just in case. You may need your vendor to investigate those issues.

Hi Belevedere,

Thanks for all the input and support.
Much appreciated.

Hi,

On another note, I have just realized that when i reset the system, on power up, the standard SIP phones do not come on automatically. I have to pull out the cable and then plug it back, and then works.
As long as there is a power cycle, the do that.
Could there a system option I might have omitted?

Rgds,
Cleophas

Sounds like a timing issue with your network. Are you using DHCP? If so, try a static address on one and try it. Reseating the LAN cable restarts the phone looking for an address.

Hi Belevedere,

I am using DHCP on the network.
Which timer , if you any clue which might be changed.
I also have DT730 IP phones and these come up after system reset.

Rgds,
Cleophas

Sorry, I do not know switches and routers well enough to give you an answer. I'm sure there are some timers that can be adjusted. Possibly a DHCP retry timer or option?

Dear Belevedere,
Thanks for all the support.

Sorry to keep bothering with this.
DID
I have a scenario whereby I have the following setup
The Pilot number is 4671000
The extns start with
1xx
2xx
3xx
4xx
5xx

I the case that I want to translate 4671001 to extn 301
I did the following
7600>001>000 EX
7601>000>301 EX
7602>000>301 EX
In prog 35012>1-2 digits

When I phone 4671001, it still goes to the operator

What could I have missed.

Rgds,
Cleophas

Telco needs to send you 4 digits. 1000, 1001, etc. Then in 7600 translate 1000 to 301, 1001 to 302, etc. When they send 000 the system sees 0 and sends the call to the operator.

Hi Belevedere,
I have checked with the Telco and the said they are sending 5 digits and 5 modified.
They are sending 46710
As you said earlier on if they send 1000, I should make 10xx--->4 digits?
since I have extns starting with 1 which are 3 digits how should I catter for them without changing the extension numbers?

Rgds,
Cleophas

35012>tkrt>3 = 4 digits received
7600>6710>000 - send incoming digits to table 000
7601>000>301 - digits in table 000 convert to ext 301 in day mode
7602>000>301 - digits in table 000 convert to ext 301 in night mode

7600>6711>001
7601>001>302
7602>001>302

Dear Belevedere,

Thank you very much, I got the DID to work
Thanks for all the support.
