SV9100 External Paging via Trunk Port Issue

I use Valcom V-2006A paging controllers which interface to my NEC SV9100 via a trunk port. The Valcom unit provides dial tone and accepts DTMF digits to choose a zone over which to page. I have a large number of analog phones and users don't know how to hang up properly and end up sending a flash to the paging trunk which does two things: it sends music on hold over the paging system and it rings back the phone that flashed and hung up, thus confusing whoever picks up the phone. I'd like to stop this behavior but I don't see where I can set up a trunk to disallow being put on hold, flashed, transferred, etc. I did use program 14-08 to try to deselect the music source used for the page port but I only have three options: Internal/External MOH, BGM Source, and ACI Port. I would think that there should be a fourth option of none.

The system was designed to use a PGD unit for external paging. It uses a spare digital station port and eliminates the issue you are experiencing. I would research the valcom unit to see if it has a timer that can release the port after x sec.

Try turning off the ability fot the SLT ports to flash - 15-03-04 or change 14-02-04 to be a flash disconnect. Users will not be able to transfer calls though.
