SV9100 DLC-60 DSS Add On

I'm using TDM phones at this site and have a 32 button phone. I'm going to snap off the 8 button add on and replace it with the 60 button. I'm aware that I need to hook up another digital to the console, but how do I pair it with the extension of the phone?

Another question I have is -- is it possible to splice the cables used for the IP phone to the TDM 8 key cable so that I can program up to 48 keys? I know it might not be officially supported, but under 15-07 I see that 48 keys can be programmed. And i'm not sure how else that would be achieved? I'm just trying to save a digital port, if possible.

As for the first question, I've never don it but it looks like the commands are:
30-01
30-02
30-03
30-04
30-05
30-10

It looks pretty straight forward.
