I'm setting up a reception phone, and I've got incoming calls on SIP trunks coming in. I made it so a DID call comes in, and it rings on a "Trunk" key I assigned to the phone. But how do I make a 2nd or 3rd call to the same DID number come in to this receptionist phone, and ring the next button and the next button?
Right now I've got:
button 1: ICM (4100)
button 2: VE (4200) - I set this up as a "rollover" but doesn't act like it, even if I set Forward-busy from 4100 to 4200
button 3: Trunk key (trunk group 1=my SIP trunks)
button 4: CAP (4100)
button 5: CAP (1???)

Currently the DID call terminated on the trunk key (button 3) and a second incoming call flashes the answer button on the DT730 SIP terminal.

Have you tried a second call while your trunk key is in use? I think you simply have a trunk appearance key for an individual trunk.

I normally give the "receptionist" their own number and make the LDN a virtual. I then make 2 or 3 more virtuals and control them with call forward.

Put these 3 or 4 lines on the receptionist phone as Line 1, Line 2, etc.

If you change 15-18-01 and 15-09 and possibly 15-02-21 you can get them to act like virtuals on an 8500.

Oh yeah, you must set DID translation in 22-11 even if it is 4100->4100. All DID's must be translated.

Don't forget 22-09-01 for number of digits received.

I've got DID translation in place and it's working fine. I also set up the number of digits right in 22-09-01. So, incoming calls work. It's just having multiple incoming calls to the same phone that I'm trying to make happen in a user-friendly way.

Looks like your first answer, PFD45, should do the trick. I might have trunk 1 instead of trunk-group 1 on that trunk appearance button.

I'm away from the office now but should be back there later and see if I can make that work.
