Brand new system, I've been doing the programming from scratch. I've got many help from your guys here already. I've been on the 2400 NEAX family, so with the 9100 being a different breed, I'm basically a novice.
So i've got stations programmed, buttons programmed, basic features going. From what I know, I've got my SIP trunks set up and I know I can receive incoming calls on them.
But for the life of me, I can't make outgoing calls. Those should also go out on my SIP trunks.
I've set up 9 as access code to the trunks, and when I dial a valid USA number preceded with 9, the phone jumps on a CAP key, and "re-enters" the dialed digits, without the 9. Then after 2-3 seconds, I get a busy tone.
My SIP carrier says, they don't see anything coming from me. To eliminate possible firewall issues, I've put my laptop on our internal network, where the phone system and a test phone sits. I'm running wireshark to see waht's going on. On incoming calls I see the IP address of my SIP provider and all the usual SIP messages. On outgoing calls, NOTHING shows up. The phone system is not attempting to send anything the the address of my SIP carrier. Or to anywhere else for that matter.
So it leads me to believe that I've got something wrong still with the outgoing call programming. The problem is that the concepts are not explained in the Feature Programming manual. I have no idea what they mean by "F-route"... Is that that famous RT=31 dummy LCR route from the 2400 series? Or something completely else?
Either way; I've gone up and down the Feature Programming manual and tried to follow its steps for outgoing calls, but most of it is guesswork.
I also went through the Web-Pro's "wizard" for outgoing calls, but they just don't go.
I just want to allow all calls to go out without restriction to any destination from any station, at any time of the day.
Any good inputs?
