I have been working on SV8500 that many hands been in. But seen error come up SMDR size Buffer Error
Index 249 and 250 Program same 00 Both set same any help on this has not happen but once!
249 is the buffer overflow warning message, 250 is the buffer overflow clear message. In 249 if the threshold is reached an error message is sent. When the buffer drops to the level set in 250 the error clear message is sent.
If you need this, there is an undocumented command that lets you see how many calls are in the SMDR buffer, and lets you clear the buffer. DLSD is the command. You probably will not find any information about it, but you can bring it up and look it over without making changes. I have used it at times to clear the buffer and get SMDR working again. Keep in mind that if you clear the buffer you lose all of those records.
Yes the Error was SMDR Buffer ASYD SYS1 249 Only but I seen where Command Manual mention Index 250 could be set lower or Higher possible fix this Error both index 249 AND 250 SET THE SAME = 0000000
But Thanks a Bunch on this other Command possible will help much down the road we where Slammed yesterday with Calls
ATB all day!
This might make it clear.... one has to be lower than the other,
0 SMDR Buffer Overflow Alarm Value
1 (When Idx 40 b5= 1)
2
249 3 This index determines when an SMDR buffer overflow alarm will output
4
5 Assign a value from 05 to 99 in this index. This index must be assigned as a larger number
6 than index 250.
