Anyone has faced to this same problem with SV8500 System before:
Digital phone DT330 with big screen (either 12 keys, 24 keys or 32 keys), after few days, the display's gone but the phone still working fine (receive or make calls).
Troubleshooting:
- Change digital port or change phones (5 units already) still same problem.
- DT310 6keys (small screen) working well but no Missed call feature.
- Connect the NEC AC-L UNIT (29V, 750mmA) - there is a power connector on phone - I just try - Not work also

What card are they connected to?

The 16ELCJ-N had a switch to choose either Series i phone or DT300 series phone. Check that switch and make sure it is set correctly for the phone.

The card is SPA-16ELCN-C. The same card but not all the extensions got this problem, only 3 extensions.

I was working with a customer to install a voicemail system on Wednesday. He told me a story of getting hit by lightning a few months ago and it took out the displays on a number of phones. The phones still work but the displays are dead. His phones are DT300 phones also.

If you can plug a new phone into the port and it doesn't kill the display after a few days then you got hit by ESD. If it kills the display change out the card or stop using those ports.
