Here is the feature I'm being asked for:
there is an office with 10 staff and there is a receptionist for them. The receptionist's line appears on all 10 phones of the office. So the receptionist takes a call and is on the phone with the caller.
One person in the office wants to get on the call, so he picks up his phone, presses the line-appearance of the receptionist, and now a 3-way conference is established: 1) the caller, 2) the receptionist, 3) the staff in the office.
Now a second staff needs to get in on the call and what they want is that he picks up his phone, presses the line appearance and gets on the call. And then the next staff wants to do the same thing. Up to 8 party (there is never going to be that many of them trying to get on, but definitely more than what the 3-party conference trunks can handle).
I have an 8-party conference card programmed for this office, and the users are familiar with how to use it: call a person, transfer into the bridge; call the next, transfer into the bridge, call the next, transfer into the bridge, etc. OR just the receptionist transfers the caller into the 8-party bridge, and all the office staff dials the pilot number for the 8-party conference and they are all in.
It's too complicated and slow. The way it needs to work is how I described in the first 2 paragraphs.
I have more 8-party conference cards if needed and also a VS32. I just don't know how that feature can be implemented. Any ideas?
