SV8300 Port Count

I am getting concerned that i may be getting close to the total port count on my SV8300.
I am told that simply looking at the Port capacity on the System Check and Report is not going to be exact.
What is the best way to get an exact port count on the system?

Use the command mode. Go to command F88 de 001 de to read the port licenses. The first numbers are those that are used and the second set are what you are licensed for.

Thanks belvedere, I was told that number did not include virtual ports.

Correct, VE's are not a part of the licensed port count.
