Hi, We're having a persistent problem with the message indicator light not going out on one of our NEC DT700 phones. The system is SV8300 PCPro - UNIVERGE UM8000. I have removed the profile for the ext in the UM8000 admin portal to disable voicemail, but the red light indicator remains. Also did a factory reset on the phone; reprogrammed the ext, and the light remains on. Any suggestion(s) on getting the light to go out, would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Most likely a message sent from another phone. If you are familiar with programming, then look for a feature code in CMD 200 set as;
A041 = MW Lamp Control Reset, or
A149 = Message Reminder Cancel.
If there are none, find an unused code ie: *7 and set it to A041. Then at that phone, go off hook and dial *7.

Thank you for your response. I am trying to determine how to find an unused code. Currently, I am not seeing any feature codes set in CMD 200 (see image). Is this the correct location for the CMD 200? I am a beginner on this system programming and navigation:

I did search for MW Lamp...and Message Reminder Cancel, but not seeing them; so as you mentioned they don't exist. We did have a NEC tech look into this for us, but they were unable to resolve...

You are in the right spot, however with the gui program you need to put a digit code in then do a lookup to see if it is assigned. The do it again for another digit code. I prefer to use the MOC mode. Put in CMD 200>*0>DE. use the DE key or enter key to scroll through codes, *0, *1, *2, ETC. looking for either the feature code A041, or a blank.
EX: 200>*7>A041

Unfortunately, I am not authorized to post a bkup of the dB...

Oddly enough, after connecting to the dB in the GUI, I attempted to use the Command feature, but the Command window is not accepting input. In the GUI, I did try to set the feature code to A041 using *7, but when I go to the phone, off hook and dial *7: I get a fast-busy and hang up, but the light remains. Per your suggestion, I'll keep running through the codes, and hopefully will snag on that is open to resolve this inquiry.
