Hello all,

Hoping someone can help guide me on setting/modifying the Day/Night mode for Service Class Features for individual phones on my SV8300. There is only 1 tenant, 01.

If I examine a station with MA4000, and examine Class 1, the first two entries are:
01: Trunk Restriction Class (Day) : RC A
01: Trunk Restriction Class (Night) : RC A

We have a desire to allow all employees RC A (unrestricted) during regular business hours (7am - 5pm), and then change *select* phones to Night Mode (5pm-7am) with a more restrictive class, say....RC C (local only), by changing the Trunk Restriction Class (Night) drop down menu in MA4000. The end result would change common area phones (lobby, cafeteria, non-essential to lose the unrestricted status for a period of time, and then automatically switch back to unrestricted again the next Day based on the system clock.

However, I do not know where to change these settings to reflect the 7 to 5 for (Day) time and 5 to 7 (Night).

I'm assuming it is somewhere in CM4A, (or maybe CM64/CM65?)

I can see in CM65YY (29) Day/Night mode, that our PBX is currently set for 0: Two Kinds of Mode (Day/Night).
Also CM65YY (36) Trunk Restriction class..... is currently : 1(Def) Not provided.

I've been reading the manual for Night Service and it seems to be getting overly complex (by setting up calendars, CM4A Y=90 specifically)

Can someone point me in the right direction please?

If you currently do not have toll restrictions in place then I suggest you get your vendor out there to set it up.
It is the most difficult programming to do. It is done through LCR tables and it is not for the novice. Once it is set up you can then use the MA-4000 to switch phones from class to class.
See under NEAX 2000 or SV-8300 tabs for LCR/Toll restriction cheat sheets.
Setting up the automatic switching calendars is the easy part.

I already have restrictions set up. It's getting the PBX to switch between Day & Night modes at specified time intervals.

Command 4A is the command for setting data and time data for auto switch of night mode based on the system clock.
