I changed the phone for a user to a dtl 120 from a dtp 160. Now her speed dials do not work and we can't program a spped dial. I hit feature key, put in the extension I want to set for speed dial and it goes to dial tone before I can get the extension completely dial in. Do I need to change the phone model in the system? how do I do that? Thanks!!!

Speed dial memory is set in system programming regardless of telephone type.
Check to see if it has SPD memory in CMD 73, and if it has SPD assigned to the buttons in CMD 90.
EX: 73>XXXX>WW XX Y ZZ
WW: 1000-Slot Memory Block number (00-19)
XX : 10-Slot Memory Start Block number (00-99)
Y : Facility for programming the dialed number from the
station (0/1=Allowed/Not allowed)
ZZ : Number of 10-Slot Memory Blocks (01-10

9000>XXXX,01>F1101 01 = button number. F1101 = SPD number 1 for that phone.
To program, press FEAT + press SPD button + dial ext or 9 + number, press FEAT.

Just a thought, are the key patterns different between the two phones? could it be that what you think is a speed dial key isn't one anymore?
