Hi guys.
I came to install new sl2100 for a client and found sv8100 in the rack with couple used handsets in the boxes. It was already there when he moved into the space and landlord let him either use it or get rid of it. When I was done with installation I decided to start it up and see if it even works. Connected digital handset directly into station card, turned on the power and after few minutes it did start. I don’t know anything about sv8100 but I heard it’s similar to sl1100, so I tried to login from the phone with default password and to my surprise password wasn’t changed. Than I decided to connect it to the network and see if I can login with WebPro, couldn’t find new devices on the network, so I figured it was configured with static IP, changed gateway and assigned new static in my subnet, saved new settings, turned power switch off waited for it to shut down, turned Power back on and seems like I killed it.
It doesn’t boot up anymore. I tried removing all cards except cpu, tried disconnecting from network, still doesn’t boot up.
Tried initializing by pushing “loadsw” while turning it on, no luck.
It was definetly working before and all the programming was still intact, because I saw 4 digit extension number with name assigned to it on handset.
Any suggestions?

Try powering down, removing all circuit cards, press and hold the load button while powering up. Release the load button after ~10 sec. If it still does not boot up, it may be toast.

Belevedere, thank you for quick reply,
I did try it yesterday with no cards just cd-cp00, than tried it without voip daughter board too. No go.
When Power is applied led under com port blinks red 6 times, than another led under usb slot goes solid red, nothing else blinks.
When I hold loadsw button during power up, leds act the same way.
I was under impression that these systems are rock solid and not easily bricked by minor changes or accidental power failure.
Was it coincidence that it died after I made changes and reset it? Highly unlikely.
Anyway, I found some site (not ntac) and downloaded field upgrade v8, will try to load firmware from usb drive and see how it goes.

Any system not properly protected (UPS/Lightning) can fail. Sometimes it doesn't show up right away. It's not likely you did anything to cause it. Remember, the system was just sitting in a pile in the corner of the room.

I was back on site this morning, tried loading firmware from usb drive with same negative results, it has to be dead, unless I didn’t download correct files. Unzipped archive had two folders (Firmware and Music), 6 .bin files and one text file. Does it sound right?
Client was so happy that I printed desi’s for him, he let me have it all.
On my way back stopped by my local supplier/refurbisher, he didn’t have cpu board for sale, but happily traded one box of phones for another “tested to power up” Sv8100 with voice mail card but no voip board.
Looks like I’ve got myself a weekend project to make one working system out of two.
Could anyone share a link to any version of system firmware to try restoring? No bad intentions here, just curiosity.
Thank you everyone

Couple days later...
I pulled Pz-ipl board, memory module and battery out of cpu and was ready to dump it into trash can, instead I decided to try one more time with new battery and slided it back in and for the last time hit Power on and to my surprise it behaved differently I heard some relays clicking which wasn’t happening before. So I did hard reset and it booted up at last. I than tried to pin point what was causing it not to boot by adding memory first and voip board later, both time it booted no problem.
It’s been up and running for two days and only difference it’s connected to ups now, has new battery and resitted boards...
