Is that the SP-30 or the SP-310 soft phone? The SP-30 is not the soft phone for the SV-8100. The SP310 is. You need the TCP 3rd party license and an IP port license. In the configuration screen the CTI port is 8282, SIP port = 5080, License port = 6080, O&M port = 8010, O&M user ID is USER1 (caps), O&M password is 1111. Do not enable shared services. Port number is 8888. Select SP310 in the license level. Use manual for the log in information. In terminal section input the extension number of the desk set if you have one, then the IP softphone extension.
In system programming, 10-46-01 = 2 manual
15-05-27 = 0 to 512, pick a number. 15-05-28 = 0 disable. then set up 84-22-01,02,04

Hi and many thanks for the reply

it is the SP-310 softphone you are correct, i have all the settings correct as you have described but it still won't work over a vpn connection but it is fine in office.

programme 10-46-01 does this have to be set to manual or can this be plug and play in both settings?

also do you think it could be a network issue?

cheers

Hi there Mark
I would first try and see whether your softphone works on the local LAN (without VPN)if it works there then it is a VPN problem if not it setup/Licensing and belevedere has given you good advice already on that one. I find that when something doesn't work on the SV8100 check the Licensing first (I have been caught out many times on that one:')

Seeing that you can ping the SV's IPLA card I do not think it is a VPN Problem, I would suggest that you get yourself a hub and a packet sniffer ,I recommend Wireshark, and take a look to see what is happening on the network with regard to your sip Packets. I cannot stress enough when working with SIP and the SV you and Wireshark have to get very well aquainted!

I hope that this helps Mate

Cheers

Craig
