Here is my situation. I am called in to our 2nd site. A sv8100. Couple months back the system went down due to power issues in this part of the country. A new 6 blade 2u chassis with power supply was purchased and installed with a 4cotc trunk card and expansion card. All extensions working now but we have a problem with our direct line.
(1)When you lift the handset of the console to answer a incoming call, the word error appears on the screen and the line drops off. However some calls do come thru.
(2)We are unable to make outbound calls. After entering the PIN code you do receive a dial tone so proceed to dial the number that you are calling. Exactly after the 1st digit the dial tone is no more, drops off and the message hang up appears on the screen.
The It manager is new and phones are not to his liking so I was called in to help. Well I am familiar with the IPS 2000 and can use the matworx, but have not touched the sv8100 or used pcpro until now so I am completely a newbie. What is causing these issues? How can I resolve the problems so we can be able to make outbound calls and receive all incoming calls?
