Not all alarms are enabled on the SV8100. Since this is a once every few weeks kind of issue I would set up alarms to email. It is a very good tattle tale. You can setup alarms to email you if you have vm to email licensing. Check your feature activation page using WebPro you will need a license 1013 InMail Email Notification = 1
If you have this you can set up alarms to email. I set it up for gmail. Here is how I do it using gmail. [highlight #FCE94F]Log into your gmail account, and allow login from less secure apps. [/highlight]
47-18-01 check to enable SMTP
47-18-02 enter smtp.gmail.com
47-18-03 enter 587
47-18-04 check encryption
47-18-05 set to yes
47-18-06 Enter the full gmail account email
47-18-07 enter the password to the account
47-18-09 enter the full gmail account email
Now lets set up the alarms.
Go to 90-10 and set all alarms to Major, and check all alarms to report. (you can use the copy function here)
go to 90-11-02 and set to Auto call (by email) to outside.
90-11-08 enter your email address you can be reached at.
90-11-09 enter Reply address (gmail address from above)
90-11-10 enter send from address (gmail address from above)
90-11-11 enter DNS 1 (Same as 10-12-13) IMPORTANT IT IS SET UP
90-11-12 enter DNS 2 (Same as 10-12-14) IMPORTANT IT IS SET UP
90-11-13 Enter site name
90-11-14 check change SMTP client check box. This will use the settings used for inmail in 47-18.
90-25 to enter additional email addresses
90-31-01 check the box. this will give you DIM traces along with the emails.
If you got everything right you will get notified via email, and that will give you a place to start.
Otherwise you could use PCPro to read the alarms from the system.
