SV8100 Licensing Removal

Is there a way to Un-Marry or remove the licensing from a CP-00? I know when you default the blade it still carries the existing licensing, but in a situation where the customer upgrades to say an SV9100 and gets a new CPU and the old system is bought back, can I/we refurbish the CPU for a new customer or once you upload those licenses they're there forever?

You will need to contact your NEC vender for that. The license will need to be moved/reissued to the new owner. NEC can do that through your vender.

We are the Vendor though, I'm researching this process to see if it's even an available option. Are you hinting that we would most likely have to go through NTAC if it was an option?

I'm not the phone techs and they all seem to say that it's not possible but I see third party resellers online selling these refurbished so there has to be a way that these guys are doing this. I'd like to keep some of these and have them flashed in case one goes down on an existing customer and we can just swap their licensing onto a "refurbished" one if the need arises.

But if you believe that NTAC is the way to go I'll see what we can do to make that happen!

I have contacted uc desktop support on many occasions, but one in particular, he went in and deleted the license file on the cpu and then I just re-applied the new license. At the time, they believed my license file was corrupted. They use the DIM connection and putty. The process is very straight forward and NTAC will do it for you if you have a legitimate need.
