Hi all!
Have a problem with InMail. A cpu problem caused me to move the InMail to a new CPU. The New CPU won't recognize the InMail. I turned on the demo licence and no change. I turn it on in PCPro and send re downloading shows inmail off. Programming is a backup from, the old CPU, which had this InMail. Any thoughts on that? Also, does anyone have a newer copy of InMail Utility? This would allow me to diagnose the card more, backup it up and update it.

Thanks

Get a back up of your database. Default the system to factory values. Test at default. Then reload your back up DO NOT select load with hardware configuration.
To factory default the system, turn it off, press and hold the reset button, power up and wait 10 to 15 seconds before releasing the reset button.
To reload the database, with the system up, select from FILE at the top left of PCPro, find your back up and load it in. Up load the data, then reset the system afterward.
NOTE: verify you have licensing for the inmail. Go to FEATURE activation and look for inmail licenses. Without those you have nothing.
A new CPU does not come with licensing. You must go through a NEC dealer to move the licenses to a new CPU. If it is an aftermarket CPU then follow the steps to verify licensing.

Hi Belevedere!
Thanks for your reply last year, I just got back to check the site. Does the button default remove licences? I am familiar with the licence moves, yet this one is awaiting transfer, so no access to licences, so would like to keep them on the system. I would like to backup the VMail before doing too much as well, the dbase is already backed up.

Thanks

Did that, lost my licences. Can't get demo licenes to activate either. Looks like the fired dealer killed them on purpose. And an initialization to default doesn't reset the 60 day?

A factory default does not remove licenses. They are mapped to the customer and the hardware key code, which is a unique number burned into the CPU. It looks like your vender got them removed in preparation for loading into the new CPU. You will need to work this out with them. Have you tried the 10 day license? CMD 90-37 set by telephone programming with software version 5 can give you a 10 day license. Set it up through a phone then reset the system.

Thanks

Had licences, after reset, gone. yes, using the 10 day already, Still no VMail. Once it came up w reception phone indicating 2 messages, which was correct, never again. Have restored the programming with the matching dbase as the InMail, doesn't answer, and maybe the InMail check mark in PCPro keeps turning off. tried CF in another system, ok. Tried working InMail board, no change.

Anywhere I can get InMail utility? maybe it can tell me if board is around and backup VMail.

Who might have the 60 day licence reset info? I hear its out there. need more than 10 days as replacement CPU is with another dealer and it will be some tie before licence and dealer transfers etc, and having a baby shortly, so probably wont have it all together in the next week.

To my knowledge the 60 day license is a one time use. The 10 day is renewable. I have seen this before on sl1100's (same program as SV-8100) where someone uploaded a database and included with hardware. It's a bug with the software. The process we use to restore it is; perform a factory default. When the system comes back up. go to the standard view, drill into the inmail and check it. Reset the system test at default. Reload your back up, do not check with hardware. You may have to activate the 10 day license again. If all of this fails then you CPU is probably too far gone to work with.

Thanks
So how do I keep InMail configuration when changing blade configuration? When I change up the blades, even change InMail ports, and ensure no conflicts, turn on 10 day licence, InMail turns itself off. Missing something here.

Thanks

Uninstall the blades in CMD 90-05-01/1 = delete. First unplug the blade. Then go into telephone programming, 90-05 delete the blade. When everything is done plugging the blade in will auto configure it.

Yes, I have been removing and deleting the blades in WebPro/PcPro and restarting. The blades are fine. My InMail turns off after I have changed cards or configuration. I have a 4 port licence and have turned on the 10 day for now. My InMail has been turned off. I upload a working dbase with InMail and it turns off.

Basically have lost InMail now
