Morning!
The dreaded inmail no audio. Valid 4 port licence, only 4 ports in dept group, all seems to work except now silent. I was clearing old mailboxes and instruction recordings, and all seemed well until suddenly silence. It answers and menus work on phone, absolutely no sound.

Inmail seems a bit finicky with set up. Don't seem to have the voice prompts and inmail utility, just PCPro and firmware v10.

Also, if I default InMail, does it reset InMail settings in PCPro settings or just default recordings and board itself? not sure if those PCPro InMail settings are in the CPU or the InMail card.

Thanks to belvedere and others that have responded in the past!!

First, I would try rebooting the system. If you run the inmail utility, you can default the CF thus removing all messages and mailbox settings, but it will not affect the system programming related to the inmail.

I of course restarted, turned it off and back on. Changed ports. Etc. No change.

Don't seem to have inMail utility or the latest prompts. Anyone have them?

Thanks!

I had same issue last few days. After working years I lost audio on my in-mail.
Tried to change the CF and VM21 with no result. Finally I defaulted the all programming and that fixed the problem. If you can afford to default - try it.

Get a back up of your database.
Default the system to factory values.
Test to see if the problem is fixed.
Reload your back up.
Test again.

Problem is prompts got deleted. Defaulting system etc doesn't restore prompts. I was thinking of copying the Compact Flash card on a computer.

Any thoughts?

Log in as USER1, 1111 with a web browser. From the user log in you can up/download prompts to your PC.

Wow, thanks! One of those hidden gems!
I'll try that!!

Errrr,
USER1 doesn't exist. Nor does it work through some back door method. I don't see any options in WebPro or PCPro to download/upload prompts. Was USER1 a default for a SysAdmin or something?

This didn't work for me.

Seems by default there is no User account defined. Changed one to User and I am in. Trying to figure out where the default prompts would be.

Thanks

Doesn't look like I can do the Default Prompts this way alas.

I finally went after and acquired InMail utility. It seems to have the default prompt languages built in.
Now to make that work ;}
