Hello, I have an interesting situation and a phone provider that does not seem to care so I'm having to do my own research here. Back story below if you are interested. I am not a phone guy, but quickly learning!

Setup: SIP trunk to sv8100 + IP link to ux5000. We have all lines coming in to the sv8100 and specific numbers routed to ring extensions on the ux5000.

The current problem:
All break/night ring modes are disabled on the ux5000. When the sv8100 is placed on break all calls that should go to the ux5000 are redirected to the Incoming Ring group (22-04) assigned to handle the break calls. A possible fix is to add the reception extension for the ux5000 into this ring Group (22-04), however, I cannot add the extension due to number limitations. The sv8100 extensions are all 5000 block and the ux5000 has a variety, with the actual phone extensions being 7000. What I think should be possible is to add a Virtual extension for 7001 (ux5000 reception) to the sv8100 and then add the extension to the ring group (22-04). Any thoughts on how to do this.

Back story: contacted our phone provider to inquire about merging all phone numbers from two offices into one SIP trunk and using IP to route calls back to the secondary office. Was told "This will work perfectly" before ordering. Was told "you really need to upgrade the ux5000 to make this work" after the fact!
