Hello, we had a spare SV8100 in Malaysia and have recently opened an office in Australia. We transferred the box to the Sydney office but it appears the tone patterns in Australia are different. When making outgoing calls, we just hear a wash noise. When making incoming calls, it says the number is unavailable. But the minute you unplug the PSTN cable, then at least it rings out...

Is there a setting in the 8100 to make it recognise Australian tone patterns? Or is it just a matter of buying the pstn card from Australia?

Appreciate any help,
Prashant

Problem you have here is that the SV8100 is end of life in Australia so you cant get support for it! You may be able to set the appropriate settings to the Australian Defeaults but it could be a laborious job. Easier to buy a second hand Australian system as they are dirt cheap due to EOL.

For example you can get 4 of them for A$230.....

Edited to add, just looked at that link again and one of them also has a voip card which implies the CPU is licensed for voip which is really useful going forward.

Hello, yes I'm aware it's pretty cheap to obtain a second hand one. The key thing about the Malaysian one is that it already has 40 SIP Terminal Advance licenses which I need along with K-CCIS which is pre-configured to link to our other offices..

Do you know what program number the settings can be changed to match Australian tones?
