Hi All,
I'm looking for feedback, suggestions, etc. We have a site with a SV8100 system but due to issues with the HVAC system, users in the front office were relocated to a different site until site repairs are made, (estimated time is atleast another 2+ years until they can move back). Currently, we have approximately 20 analog Centrex lines at the new (temp) site and we placed hard forwards on Verizon's side to the analog desk phones at the temporary site so they still have access to their individual lines. This was setup for cost savings but we're constantly having issues with the forwards not working or the analog lines dropping and Verizon has to fix.
The alternative plan at the time of planning was to setup a SV8100 extension at the temporary site so they could still access their lines, extensions, etc. but due to costs, this was abandoned. With all the issues we're having, I'm strongly advocating for just spending the money to setup the extension to the remote site so phone service doesn't drop any longer.
This entire setup is for a state government agency which relies heavily on incoming calls from the public and other agencies so my stance has always been to spend the money on the key system extension so phone service doesn't go down anymore. They want to constantly blame IT and I want to constantly recommend the enhancement. Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks!
