I started to configure a SV8100 with V3 software (I'll upgrade to V9 ASAP) and have this problem.
I need to use the different (maximum:32) night service groups, so that I can have separate day/night times for different groups.
I changed the night mode name for the two groups (i.e. Company1-N and Company2-N). Also, I allow company 1 members to cycle between day/night rest, and company 2 have only day/night
I assisgned the extensions to the two groups, and programmed a night button. This works fine, as I get different night mode names on display, and changing Caompany 1 does not affect company 2.
I also assigned the trunks (ISDN BRI lines) to different night service groups. Lines are used with DID tables, so 1-199 day, 201-399 night mode, and so on. This is already working for the "single company" setup. Lines are set in DID mode for both trunk groups
But... I have some doubts
1. It seems that day/night switching mode should be set to automatic or manual, and this affects the whole system, so both companies in my case I have only one selection page for this.
2. When company 2 sets night service, calls for this company are still routed as if the company is in day mode.
3. the destination for the company main number is set to transfer target 2 = 501 for day mode, but I found it set to just "7" for night mode (position over 200) and just "4" for restAnyway, this is working, but I don't how!
4. Almost in all programming tables I see 32 night service groups, however there are some tables of the wizards where I see just service group 1. Why? I.e. if I go to night mode range in the system data, I cane see the ranges for all night service groups. If I go to night service options wizard, where there are names and also the manual/auto setting, I see just group 1 again (this is understandable, as it seems day/night auto/manual is selectable systemwide only, but this prevents viewsing names in wizard mode!!)
Help will be appreciated.
I come from a Panasonic and Avaya world... I can see the product is flexible enough, but I find a few odd things here and there, and adapting to NEC thinking will take some time for me!
