I have a problem with receiving incoming caller id on my SV8100. I can receive caller ID on the PSTN line, but when I connected to the system it does not display.
I have tested the system at my workshop on another PSTN line and caller ID works, but it won't work at my customer site.

All I know about receiving caller ID is 20-09-02 which is set by class of service.

Are you sure that the extensions that you tested at the shop and at the customers site were the same COS?

What kind of trunks are these? PRI, copper, plain T1?

the programing and extn were the same at site and the office. Its on copper PSTN.

You need to verify that you are getting the FSK signal from Telco. Place a butt set on the line and listen for a FSK tone signal between the first and second ring cycle.

The thing here is that you have already proved that there is nothing wrong with the system, so I would be speaking to Telstra/other service provider regarding the line settings and format the CLID is being sent in on the on site line. You may even be able to get them to compare the two lines if you are with the same carrier.
