Hello everyone!

I got a problem that I just cannot seem to beat and while minor it is still been nagging me for over 6 months and hopefully someone here is a Linux expert and would know what I need to do.

When my PC boots up, now and then I get "/dev/hda7 has been mounted 36 times without being checked. Check forced."

I tried using tune2fs to set it to ONLY check the drive every 30 days, but it STILL checks it after so many reboots.

Is there any way around this and making it check it only every 30 days or so?

Would appreciate any information anyone can provide.

Cheers!

IIRC, tune2fs has settings for two different parameters..

1) force check after so many days
and
2) force check after so many reboots

This makes sense when you think about it, and you may not have set the reboot value to suit your taste.
