I am trying to configure a IBM B50 PowerPC running SuSE Linux I have finally got the system to boot ok but I am having problems getting the network to run. I have allocated the IP address and also the subnet but when the system boots the screen displays "Setup Network Device eth0" then three lines are displayed "SIOCIFADDR: no such device", "SIOCIFBRDADDR: No Such Device" and "SIOCIFMASK: No Such Device". I have checked the /etc/modules.conf file and the "alias eth0 off" line exists.

If anyone has the solution to this I would be greatful fo any assistance.
